210,000 Gallon Tank

Reported at 5/4/1975 BOD Meeting:
1974 "Safe Drinking Water Act" requires 225,000 Gallons of Storage capability for our park.  
Prior storage was 113,000 Gallons.

Design Date:  9/5/1974

The Tank was originally designed as a 105,750 gallon tank, but was scaled to 210,000.

Construction Bid:  Kar Construction Co., S.F. - 1/4" welded 214,464 gal - $39075.00, would
reduce for cash to approx $350000.00 installed on prepared site.  Tank sealed inside
as required by A.W.W.A. spec and final State & County inspection.

Project Approved at 7/13/1975 BOD meeting

Price negotiated to $35,546.00

Bid accepted at 8/3/1975 BOD meeting

Construction began 9/6/1975

Tank placed on line 4/1976 - Delay (5 Months) due to coating drying time in cool weather.

The exterior of the tank was painted in 1992.

The interior was recoated in October 1998.  The recoating came with an 18 year warrantee.

Side vents and a rear manway were cut into the tank in 1999.




This is welded tank.

The tank has a top fill port that is connected but capped off.

The tank has a top connected overflow that is connected to a drain and a 1/16th or so mesh screen.

The tank has bottom connected drain with a backflow protector and a 1/16th or so mesh screen.

The tank is bottom feed and draw.

The tank has a top hatch.

The tank has an internal ladder.

The tank has a larg manway in the front and a small bolted manway in the back.
